Monthly Demonstrations
ADAS invites award-winning, renowned artists
to share their techniques and insights on a variable of mediums. These start after our monthly meetings at 7:30pm (second Tuesday of month) at Danville Congregational (989 San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Danville CA). All members and the public are welcome to attend (no charge). Be sure to show up early to reserve a seat. More info on these demonstrations are shown in our class schedule.

Instructional videos by accomplished artists are available in VHS and DVD formats for our members. You can download the list and check them out at the monthly meetings.
Classes & Workshops
A variety of instructional sessions being offered by professional artists, schools and other art organizations are listed in our monthly newsletter. Opportunities range from a few hours in a local studio, to several weeks abroad with master artists.
And several of our artist members offer classes, so look for them in our class schedule. (BE SURE TO CONFIRM HOLIDAY SCHEDULES WITH INSTRUCTORS.)
PAINTING
Stephen Sanfilippo: Plein air painting sessions are available in June & July with this award-winning artist. He will help students with the logistical and creative aspects of painting on location (outdoors). Visit his website for more info about instruction and registration.

Wednesdays (7-9pm)
Charles White: 2-hour painting classes at the Pioneer Art Gallery. Charles helps students start paintings from scratch, as well as to solve problems with unfinished works. Accepts all skill levels in oil & acrylic, drop-ins welcome. $25/class. Artists bring photo reference to paint from and all their own supplies; limited number of easels are available for use. FIGURE
First Tuesdays (6:30pm setup, 7-10pm model posing)
Unclothed Figure Drawing Sessions at the Pioneer Art Gallery. Long & short poses, unclothed. Gallery is not open to the public during figure sessions. No drop-ins -- must sign-up in advance for participation (room for a maximum of 10 artists). $15 fee per artist. Artists bring their own supplies/easels, all mediums welcome, painters must bring drop-cloths. Contact Randy Stockton at stockton@webio.com.

Clothed/Costumed Figure Drawing Sessions
Long & short poses, clothed and in costumes. Drop-ins welcome, room for a maximum of 15 artists. $15 fee per artist. Artists bring their own supplies/easels, all mediums welcome, painters must bring drop-cloths.
SCULPTURE
Dick Short: Sculpting classes at the Pioneer Art Center will begin in 2008.
