ADAS is grateful to the generous efforts of volunteers in our community that strengthen our programs and fundraising events each year. Residents and business owners, along with our artist and patron members, all enjoy supporting art education and local artisans.
We have several folks who have served in their posts for way too long, so thank you for contacting us if you can volunteer for any of the following:
NEWSLETTER CHAIRPERSON: Seeking 1 person who can layout a 6-8 page monthly newsletter. About 90% of all text & images are supplied by committees and the remaining relevant content needs to be assembled by you. Best candidate is someone who is proficient with email & computers, has typesetting/design experience, is a good proofreader, can edit others' text to fit page/column limitations. Will need to prepare a final pdf for the website & have about 100 units printed & mailed. Should be able to attend monthly board meetings on first Monday of each month 10-11am. (8-15 hours per month)
Previous issues have been designed in Publisher & InDesign; you can choose whatever program you feel most comfortable using.
HOSPITALITY CHAIRPERSON: Need 1 person to ensure we have food and beverages at our club events. Includes dessert & beverage service at our monthly art demos (second Tuesday each month 7-9:30pm) and coordinating potluck for both our Spring Gala exhibit reception and Holiday Party in December. Best candidate can organize & motivate volunteers to bring food, operate within budget, ensure facilities are setup and cleaned up appropriately, convey ADAS as a gracious host to our guests. (3-6 hours per month)
WEBSITE SUPPORT: Need 1 more person to proactively keep our website updated; will be assigned specific pages on the site. Best candidate is someone who is experienced with html coding, Dreamweaver, ftp protocol and can adhere to standardized filing and naming conventions. Good writing and proofreading skills are preferred. (3-6 hours per month)
